Thomas Ploch

My name is Thomas, I am 41 years old and an IT generalist with +15 years of experience in various industries including insurance, e-commerce, manufacturing, logistics, travel and transportation.

I have built, led and grown various development teams and am currently very interested in the "New Work" movement. My belief is that the command & control structures found in many organizations are relic from the industrial revolution, and that we as an industry need to move beyond these old ways of working - facilitative leadership, cross-functional collaboration, generative cultures, networked organizations.

My current technical focus lies on building distributed reactive systems within the domain of dynamic pricing, applying a mix of functional thinking with the strategic and tactical principles from domain-driven design.
