About Me
I started my journey as a fitness trainer because of my strong desire to help women build confidence in themselves by losing unwanted body fat. I developed a strong sense of empathy for others during this time because I got to know each woman I worked with on a personal level and got to know their "why". I learned that everyone has a reason why they want to better their health and it's not always about being the skinniest person in the room.
You're probably wondering... "Why the transition to UX Design?"
I have always enjoyed engaging the creative part of my brain. When I chose marketing for my degree, I wanted to take it into studying customers while they are shopping and learning how to design a product to enhance conversions. After I built my first business, Palm Training LLC, I had to build a website and create a logo. I wanted to do it myself so I learned the softwares and completed it in 2 weeks. After doing so, I started to love design more and more.
I was doing websites for my business and others. I thought to myself, "why not take this to the next level?" This is where I found UX Design and my love for it has sky rocketed since. My desire to help people has not changed. I intend to leverage my prior experience as a fitness trainer to bring a level of empathy and attention to detail that’s critical to making intuitive user experiences.
